Located in Covington, Kentucky’s historic Mainstrasse Village district, “The Village, Sight Sound & Stage” is a state of the art production house and the home of Mike's Music Productions that includes audio recording, video production, a sound stage and additional performance/audience space. Like the diverse, historic neighborhood in which it’s anchored, The Village provides a creative environment where vintage meets modern in a 101 year old theater with a unique and spacious floor plan. Owner Mike Reeder has created an environment that fosters a spirit of openness, collaboration and exploration where recording sessions, video shoots and performances can be inspired.
The Village features a spacious layout with rooms for audio, video and all forms of multi-media production. The audio/video production studios provide a full kitchen and multiple lounge areas for those long sessions. In-house production services are available, or we can facilitate qualified outside professionals.
The stage/theater room can accommodate and record a small orchestra, or audience events such as live bands and TV shows. All forms of multi-media presentation are possible. There are artist green rooms, backstage equipment storage, merchandise and refreshment areas.
All of this, in addition to the wide variety of high quality video recording and production equipment, state of the art and vintage audio gear, specialty microphones, mic pre’s, analog or digital signal processing and the availability of many high-end vintage guitars, amps and effects pedals. These combine to make The Village a one -of-a-kind experience with a great vibe.

Mike Reeder is a Musician/Song Writer/Columnist/Host and Interviewer/Producer/Director/Vintage Guitar Expert and Consultant with over 35 years of experience in performance and production in the audio and video realm. As a Multi-Instrumentalist, he has performed with numerous regional and national touring bands. He currently works with Chalk Eye, The Mudpies, Soulgroup, Earle Diamond and Muleshine.
Reeder can be seen as Host/Interviewer in notable PBS/KET specials and as featured Appraiser for Kentucky Collectibles. He's worked as Head Engineer on Nationally Syndicated Radio and TV programs, as well as overseeing editing and production duties for live shoots at FHU Studios in Los Angeles. He is currently directing and hosting The Village produced shows, FRET BUZZ, Guitar Pickers and Live at The Village. In addition, for over 30 years Reeder has consulted many of the worlds largest acts regarding vintage instruments and gear. When serious musicians are looking for tone, they come to Mike. His knowledge of the worlds finest instruments, combined with audio and video knowledge, make for a valuable and creative perspective. Mike is available as an audio/video Director and Producer.
Mike Tekulve brings his talents and partnership to us with over 30 years of professional experience as a Producer, recording engineer, composer, educator, and musician . Mike has worked with clients such as Sony, Discovery Channel, Acclaim Entertainment, Take Two Entertainment, Microsoft, Nintendo, Coca Cola, just to name a few. He has created works and collaborated with musicians all over the world. Mike is also a Professor and Studio Production Coordinator at Cincinnati State College.
Pete Davidson has spent his life as a professional muscian preforming, producing, and teaching. From roadwork to Pro-Studio Engineer, his passion is working with musical artists to get the best performance from those around him. In the studio, his engineering concept is to bring comfort and reduce stress for the players. An accomplished engineer, Editor, and Mixer on both analog and digital platforms, he prefers to concentrate on the "front end" regardless of the musical genre.
He keeps it simple capturing good tones, selecting proper microphones, and utilizing the room space while creating a positive vibe during a recording session. Pete has hosted sessions with countless local musicians and done professional work with major and indie record labels during his thirty year career.
Dave Swart is a Recording Engineer, Producer and a Bassist. Previously Proprietor and main Engineer of The Den Studio from 2010-2020. Dave has recorded and produced numerous records and songs with artists and
bands such as: David T. Chastain and his blues band Southern Gentlemen, Lethal, Jamie Carr Band, Steve Earle, Chalk Eye, Carian, Arcadian Bliss, Pulse8, Simple Aggression, Ky Myle, Cult of Sorrow, Eversole, and Smoke Healer. "I’ve recorded all types of music; rock, metal, blues to bluegrass. I absolutely love working with bands and trying to bring out the best recordings we can make together. "
Elton Clifton has been recording and producing Cincinnati area musicians for the past 10 years. As a musician and guitarist, Elton has performed locally and regionally with various groups ranging from Bluegrass, to pop/rock and jazz. His award winning
production work has been recognized by The Cincinnati Music Awards and the Cincinnati Blues Society. Clifton has produced/recorded projects for Johnny Fink and The Intrusion, Arlo McKinley and The Lonesome Sound, Danny Frazier, Wilder, Taylor Shannon, Hickory Robot, The Eden Park Band, McCarthy Union and many more. Elton is noted for being a client oriented engineer. Whether strictly engineering, or being recruited for writing, arranging, or playing duties, Elton is extremely flexible and creates an environment that promotes artist expression, making sure they get the most out of their project.
Michael Wojtkiewicz (Woj),has been a steady presence in the Cincinnati music scene for years, having been the head engineer and producer on multiple Metal and Punk Rock projects . These include many heavy hitter
indie Rock acts. He has captured, mixed and produced a multitude of local and national acts such as 'Close to Home’ and Casteless. A staple in the scene for over 10 years as a bassist in numerous acts around Cincy and Chicago. Woj has the vast experience and the skills required to capture and successfully achieve the sounds you want!
Brian Lovely is a versatile producer/composer/guitarist based in Cincinnati, Ohio.
As a composer, producer and session musician
working for major record labels, motion picture studios, television networks and independent film makers, Lovely has earned several gold, platinum and multi-platinum records. As a solo artist, band leader and sideman he has performed at major rock and jazz venues and festivals around the world with Brian Lovely and The Secret, Flying Underground, Faux Frenchmen, Adrian Belew, Blessed Union Of Souls and many others.
